Why solar and battery storage?
Solar panels generate electricity from daylight, cutting the amount you need to buy from the grid. Adding a battery lets you store surplus energy generated during the day and use it in the evening, when most homes use the most power. Together, they can significantly reduce your bills and your carbon footprint.
- Lower electricity bills — use more of the power you generate
- Greater energy independence — rely less on the grid and on price rises
- Smarter use of tariffs — batteries can also charge on cheaper off-peak rates
- A greener home or business — clean, renewable energy for years to come
A system designed for you
Every property is different. We assess your roof, orientation, shading, energy usage and goals, then design a solar and battery system sized to make the most of your investment — not the biggest system we can sell you.
Quality products, professional installation
We work with reputable manufacturers whose panels, inverters and batteries are built for the British climate and backed by strong warranties. Installation is carried out safely and tidily by qualified electricians, to current regulations including the latest requirements for battery storage in BS 7671.
Ongoing support
Our support doesn't end when the scaffolding comes down. We'll show you how to monitor your system and we're on hand for maintenance, advice and any questions.
Earning from exported energy: to receive payments for surplus electricity under the Smart Export Guarantee, your installation generally needs to be MCS certified. Ask us about the options for your system when we quote.
Already have solar?
Adding a battery to an existing solar installation is a popular way to use more of what you generate. We can assess your current set-up and recommend a compatible battery.
Frequently asked questions
How much could solar panels save me?
It depends on your roof, location, system size and how much electricity you use during the day. Adding a battery usually increases how much of your own solar power you use. We'll give you a tailored estimate when we assess your property.
Do solar panels work on cloudy days?
Yes. Panels generate from daylight, not just direct sunshine, although output is lower on dull days and in winter.
Can I add a battery to my existing solar panels?
In most cases, yes. We'll check your existing inverter and system and recommend a compatible battery solution.
Do I need planning permission for solar panels?
Most domestic roof-mounted solar installations are permitted development, but there are exceptions — for example listed buildings and some conservation areas. We'll advise for your property.
