Fast help when your electrics let you down
Electrical faults never happen at a convenient time. Whether it's a whole-house power loss on a Sunday evening or a business that can't open its doors, Synergy Electrical responds promptly to emergency calls across Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.
Our electricians are fully qualified and registered, so the fix is done properly first time — and certified where the work requires it — rather than patched up until the next failure.
Emergencies we deal with
- Total or partial loss of power — when it isn't a network power cut
- RCDs or breakers that keep tripping or won't reset
- Burning smells, scorching, buzzing or sparking from sockets, switches or the consumer unit
- Water leaks onto electrics — ceiling lights, sockets or the fuse box
- Damaged cables after drilling, DIY or building work
- Business-critical failures — lighting, power, refrigeration or equipment circuits
If you smell burning or see smoke or sparks: if it is safe to do so, switch off the main switch at your consumer unit, keep away from the affected area and call us. If there is a fire, leave the building and call 999.
Is it a power cut or a fault?
Before you call, check whether your neighbours have power and whether street lights are on. If the whole street is out, it's a network power cut — call 105, the free national power cut number, to reach your local network operator. If it's just your property, it's very likely a fault inside the installation, and that's where we come in.
What to expect
When you call, we'll ask a few quick questions to understand what's happened and give you any immediate safety advice. On site, we'll make the installation safe, find the cause, and explain the options in plain English before carrying out the repair. You'll know what you're paying for before we start.
Frequently asked questions
Do you offer 24-hour emergency electrician call-outs?
Yes. We respond to emergency calls day or night across Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas. Call our emergency line on 07908 263246.
What counts as an electrical emergency?
Anything that leaves you without power or presents a safety risk: burning smells, sparking, scorching, water getting into electrics, exposed or damaged cables, or a trip that won't reset. If you're unsure, call and we'll advise.
My whole house has no power. Who should I call?
First check if your neighbours have power. If the whole street is out, call 105 to report a power cut to your network operator. If it's only your property, call us — it's likely a fault within your installation.
Should I keep resetting a breaker that trips?
No. If a breaker or RCD trips again immediately, something is causing it. Repeatedly resetting it can be dangerous. Unplug appliances on that circuit and try once more; if it still trips, leave it off and call an electrician.
